High Level Restrictions” replace Level 6

Thanks for being world-class water savers. Because of recent rainfall, increasing dam levels and your continued commitment to water saving, we can cautiously step back from Level 6 water restrictions.

Target 170 and High Level Restrictions start 31 July 2008.

We’re asking residents to Target 170 litres a day but use only what you need. As long as we continue with our water wise habits, it’s highly unlikely we’ll ever need to return to extreme restrictions and Target 140 again. Make the most of your extra water by following some simple gardening tips.

Business and industry must continue to use water efficiently by operating in accordance with Water Efficiency Management Plans, retrofitting with water efficient devices and following best practice guidelines where applicable.

Gold Coast City Council area remains on suspended restrictions for a range of outdoor water uses but business restrictions still apply.

The new Zip Hydrotap 4-in-1 saves water, as well as energy and time.

Hot, cold, boiling or chilled filtered water from a single source

Simplifies design - A single under-sink system supplies both a hot-and-cold Zip Mixer Tap and the Zip HydroTap boiling-and-chilled tap.

Cuts costs - Eliminates the need for a hot water service - or the expense of hot water reticulation from a remote heater.

Saves space - No need to provide floor space or cupboard space for a separate hot water service for most kitchens.

Conserves energy - Eliminates avoidable heat loss from either a separate hot water service or from hot water reticulation.

So convenient - Great to have hot water for rinsing dishes wherever a Zip HydroTap dispenses instant boiling or chilled water.
